The Bridge of Khazad Dum

This is an amazing song from the soundtrack of the movie The Fellowship of the Ring by Howard Shore. But I just noticed it when the first trailer of the movie Man of Steel arrived. That trailer has a part of this song (the best part, I think) and now I'm addicted to it.
It's so great to listen it when I'm reading :D

WTF Weather??

This week started beautifully! Cold, fog, wind, rain... So much RAIN!!
This Tuesday I woke up dying so much with pain everywhere (though I had no fever).

Today I was supposed to go to a compensation class but I was still very tired.
This morning there was still fog and I had cold even at my house.

Now, I've just had a bath, and went outside to hang the towel... And the weather is hot!!
WTF??? And I've just seen that tomorrow it will be 31ºC
How can the weather change so much in one day???

I just know that I have a stuffy nose and I'm always sneezing.
It's no fair getting sick when the weather finally starts to get better D8

Awesomness

I have just watched the last 3 episodes of "Spartacus: Blood and Sand season 2 - Vengeance" and I was like O_O

This serie continue to impress me every episode! The characters are so perfectly created, with such great personalities! And the story is one of the greatest I've been watching in series!

The ending of this season was amazing, and now I can't wait for the next one!
The last episodes of the 3 seasons are always the best ones, but I gotta say that my favourite episode of all is season 2 episode 5 - "Libertus"
I just regret not being able to watch these last episodes before, because of university -_-

WATCH IT! It is awesome 8D
(and there is no blood at all)
(there's actually a lot of blood)

The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games

Before I say what I thought of the movie, I want to share what I most hate in theaters: KIDS
(I don't actually like kids generally).
I wanted to watch this movie since I saw the trailer some months ago, and I've been waiting until today.
I had to reserve the tickets, because I saw that there were already plenty of seats taken. I found out that these seats were reserved by some filthy "5 years old" kids that just didn't shut up before the movie starts.
So I thought: "If those morons start talking during the movie, I'm going to call the security". But they gave a better opportunity (before the movie starts) and started doing a popcorn battle -_-
One of those popcorn actually hit my brother... So I said: "Ok that's enough" and I called one of the workers of the theater. She said "I'm glad you told me!" She went to the theater very angry and yelled at the annoying babies, threatening them if they didn't shut up, she would call the security. And she stayed in the room for a while, so they wouldn't dare making noise.
The movie started.
In the first part of the movie they still made some stupid noises, but I was very concentrated so I didn't care. In the end of the first part they started exaggerating (I still was very focused, so I still didn't care) and one woman left the room and called the same worker I had called earlier.
That was when they really shut the f*** UP! :D finally!
Seriously, these kids should be watching "barbie and the lake of whatever", or "the princess with eyes that sparkle very much and blind other people"!
They saw blood or some weird costume in the movie (there are a LOT of weird costumes, btw) and "bla bla bla OMG! the horror of that wound! that's disgusting! THE HORROR!"
SHUT UP!!!(I actually made one of my fantastic and powerful "XSSHHH!!" at some point)

Anyway, even though I was aware of all this happening, those kids couldn't get me distracted!

And here's what I thought of the movie: AWESOME!!
Great story and acting;
Wonderful effects, scenarios, costumes and buildings;
Very unpredictable and powerful!
I also loved the soundtrack.
I was already thinking of buying the books, but now I just can't wait to start reading the series (and I'll start with the first one).
And I definitely will watch this movie again in theater (maybe I'll have more luck with the people in the room that time)
Go watch it!!!

51 Movies in February 2012

Well, my vacations are almost over.
Tomorrow it starts the new semester, that I hope it's better than the last one (I'm talking about the huge amount of work).
Now, the best part of these vacations is that I finally saw the movies I wanted to see (old and news). And I beated my own record of movies watched in less than a month (it's useless, but I'm happy XD). Last time I watched 31 movies. This time I've watched 51

A Better Life

Albert Nobbs

Anonymous

Batman Begins

I had already watched this, but I didn't remember the story very well and I wanted to watch The Dark Knight again. So I took the opportunity to watch this one too

The Dark Knight
This is one of my favourite movies ever, so I don't even remember how many times I've watched it.

Bridesmaids

I just watched this one because it' nominated for two oscars (actually, that's the main reason that I watched so many movies). It was like, 2a.m. and I was watching it in my bedroom with earphones so that I couldn't wake up my parents, but the problem was that I was laughing so much and I had to try not to laugh very loud XD

Beginners

Catch Me If You Can
I was searching for my DVD of this movie, but then I found out that it w
as going to be on TV soon, so I waited (great coincidence!) This is one of those that I don't know if I had seen a long time ago, or hadn't even seen yet. But I'm glad I watched it!

Chico & Rita
I didn't enjoy this one very much. I love animation movies, but this one just didn't captivate me.

The Descendants
I was very disappointed about this one. In the begining I thought that the movie would develop into something else, but I felt that the plot wasn't interesting.

Doubt

"Doubt" and "The Fighter" are the ones that I couldn't watch last year, and I really like both of them.
The funny thing of this movie is that, in the end I can't say what really happen (if the priest told the truth or not). Interesting...

Drive

I didn't had any idea of what was the story of this one, and I was a little scared that it was about cars and races (like Fast & Furious, that I don't like at all). But it's not one of those!!
The title makes sense though! I liked it very much. There's a lot of blood and killing, but it's really good. I also love the songs.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close

Grave of the Fireflies
This was probably the movie that I was more anxious to watch, because everyone told me it was great but I never got a chance to see. So I saved this one in my mental list of movies "To Watch!!" I finally watched it and it was one of the most sad stories I've seen. But it's really really good!

Hugo
When I saw the poster of this movie I thought "NARNIA", but then I saw that it was nominated to 11 oscars. So I thought it couldn't be like "Narnia" (but I don't hate Narnia). Then, my brother found out this too, and his name is Hugo, so he didn't shut up until we went to the cinema to watch it. I think this is basically a tribute to the illusionist and filmmaker Georges Méliès. I was very surprised about this fact and I really enjoyed it.

Inglourious Basterds
My brother told me this was a great movie, and I was curious about it, so I watched it.
I just knew it had something to do with the nazis, but I got a great surprise: the story is absolutely unpredictable. So I got to say it's really a great movie! (also, one of the best surprises for me)

J. Edgar

Jane Eyre

Kung Fu Panda 2
I loved this movie! I think it's even better than the first one (an
d that's rare)
I think that the most cool thing about this movie (aside from the funny parts) is that they didn't change Po's personality. He's still clumsy and hilarious.

L'Illusionniste

Midnight in Paris

Minority Report
I remember that, long ago, me, my brother and my parents started to watch this movie. At the first minutes, my parents thought that it was too strange (my father doesn't like sci-fi and fantasy movies). So they turned it off! Now I'm really angry that I missed the chance to see "Minority Report" that time, because I watched it a few weeks ago and I loved it!

Moneyball
One of the first movies I watched this month. It's really great, even for those who don't appreciate/understand baseball (like me).

My Week With Marilyn
I think it's not one of the best I've watched, but I gotta say that Michelle Williams gave a great performance in Marilyn's role.

Planet of the Apes
I just watched "Planet of the Apes" because I thought it was a prequel of "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" (which I already wanted to see). I didn't even know it was a Tim Burton's movie! Although there are some weird blue and green lights coming from nowhere on some scenes, I enjoyed it. There's a surprising ending!

Princess Mononoke
I remember watching about half of this movie in a class at my animation course. That time I was curious about the ending of the movie, but it was long ago, so I didn't remember anything. I watched the whole movie and it's really really great!!

Puss in Boots
In my opinion, the character Puss should stay where he was: Shrek. In the Shrek movies they showed us this version of Puss in Boots that's very creative. I don't even know where this movie fits in the character's history (or even if it fits somewhere).
I just think it's an unnecessary story. This kinda remembers me of those Disney movies where there's a sequel for a great great movie, but in that case, those sequels are just terrible (like Pocahontas 2 or Mulan 2).
I liked it though, this is just my opinion XD

Rango
I really loved this one! I didn't even know what was the story about when I went to watch it. I laughed so much!

Real Steel

Revolutionary Road

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Great great movie! I don't know yet if it makes part of the movie from 2001 "The Planet of the Apes", but I think it doesn't XD

Also awesome soundtrack and effects!! I found out that the character "Caesar" who is the principal ape of the movie, is played by Andy Serkis (who also played Gollum in the Lord of the Rings movies)

Tales from Earthsea

The Adventures of Tintin

The Artist
When I saw that there was this new silent movie in black and white, I thought: "Eww! Why did they do this?! We have better technology! I bet this is just some crap thing that they randomly
choose to put in black and white just to be cool..."
But then I watched it and I understood the reason why it's silent and black and white. It is really good and amusing. It was also a great surprise.

The Departed
I hadn't heard of this one yet, but I found out that it won the oscar for the best motion picture in 2007, so I became curious. It became one of my favourite movies. And the ending... THE ENDING!!

The Fighter

Another one that I hadn't the chance to watch last year. Great movie and great performances. Although one of the main themes is drugs, I actually laughed at some scenes with Micky's family.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

The Godfather

The Godfather: Part II

The Godfather: Part III
I was always curious about these movies, that are very famous and apreciated: so I wanted to know why.
The three of them are really great. The story is great, and I particulary like the fact that there's an huge evolution in the Corleone family. Usually the first movie is more apreciated than the other two, but personally, I prefered the parts II and III. There's also a striking ending in the 3rd part!

The Help
I watched this one two times. I really loved this story!

The Ides of March

The Illusionist

The Iron Lady

The Muppets

The Nines

The Tree of Life
I already posted here something pointing two of the great songs of this movie (Funeral Canticle and Lacrimosa) but I also

wanted to say that I never saw a movie like this before. It's really relaxing and profound, and the story is absolutely different and amazing. Incredibly surprising!!

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

Une Vie de Chat

War Horse
Awesome!!! Saw it two times because it's so amazing! This movie even managed to thrill me, and I was constantly afraid of what would happen next. Great great movie!

Warrior
Another one that became one of my favourites (just like The Departed, The Tree of Life, War Horse and The Help).
Saw this one three times! XD
